Week 3

With a 21-4 victory over the visiting St.louis rams the bucs will advance to 2-1 and have part of first place in the NFC south. The Bucs Defense dominated the Rams, holding Torry Holt and Issac Bruce under 10 catchs and 100 yards combined. Interceptins by Barrett Ruud, Phillip Buchanon and Jermaine Philips gave Bulger his first three picks of the year. Ruud once again dominated the middle after earning the NFL's week two defensive palyer of the week. I still ponder why people say Derrick Brooks is to old afer he recored his second consecutive ten tackle week. He also layed a punishing hit on Steven Jackson to force a fumble. Between Ruud, Brooks and the new guy Cato June, the bucs have arguably a top five linbacking core in the NFL. With the hard nosed style of Ruud, the quickness of Cato June and the ten time pro bowler Brooks Offenses are planning a little extra. The Bucs have a surplus of leadership on the Offense between Joey Galloway and Jeff Garcia, something they lacked considerably last year. Garcia once again led the team downfield effectively scoring four times. With the beat up Panthers coming up next week the Bucs have a solid chance and taking sole control of first place in the NFC south. And with the disapointing Saints and the bad attitude Falcons in the division the Panthers seem to be the only hurdle in taking the NFC south crown.
